MUSTEK GSMART 300 DIGITAL CAMERA IS HONORED BY 2001 SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

Feb. 2001, -(Taiwan) - Mustek Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the GSm@rt 300, a 350K pixel VGA resolution Digital Still Camera, is honored by 2001 Symbol of Excellence Award from Taiwan's most prestigious recognition campaign.

The awards program, organized by the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA), under the appointment of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), is designed to upgrade the image of made-in-Taiwan products. A panel of domestic and international experts carefully selected the GSm@rt 300 digital camera as one of only 313 winners from a total of 677 products this year. The panel praised the GSm@rt 300 for its delicate design, compact size, and easy to use functions.

GSm@rt 300 will have the privilege of bearing a renowned trademark, the red, five-point SOE logo, on its casing and packaging, at the same time using the logo in relative advertising.

Designed for younger generation, novice camera and Internet users, the GSm@rt 300 is not only an easy Plug-and-Play digital camera with a reliable image solution, but also presents a stylish design. It is engineered with 640 x 480 pixel resolution and dual mode functionality. The compact, lightweight design measures just 90 (L) x 65 (W) x 32 (H) mm and weighs 120 g (without batteries). The GSm@rt 300 easily fits in a briefcase, backpack or purse. With built-in 4MB internal flash memory, users are able to store up to 120 pictures in QVGA (320 x 240) resolution.
